National-Parks > Visit Joshua Tree, California

Almost everyone has heard of Joshua Tree National Park, but it’s a lot more than just the backdrop of an Entourage episode.

Once you get into the park the most important thing for you to know is that almost anything you see is in play for a hike. As you’re driving along and see a beautiful formation, by all means, climb that rock!

There’s a few fan favorites in visiting Jumbo Rocks or Skull Rock, but our local recommendation is to final a separated formation and enjoy a more personal sunset. If you can’t, no worries, every sunset is beautiful in Joshua Tree.

When it comes to calling it quits at night you have a couple options that we’d recommend. The most popular (crowded) will be Jumbo Rocks Campground which is in no way a bad choice.

Heading into the Hidden Valley Campsite you’ll be surrounded more with the climbing crew than your average weekend camper. They’re not a bad bunch to break bread / share some drinks with after a beautiful day exploring the desert.

Finally is White Tank, which is our recommendation if you’re looking for something a little more intimate and off the beaten path compared to the others.

You can’t go wrong in Joshua Tree National Park...we’re getting jealous even thinking about you going without us :)
