Places to go in New York City

We were able to get into this popular spot for brunch during our visit and we were so glad that we did. Bright and welcoming space with ample room between tables and bar seating as well. Food definitely lived up to its reputation. Braised short rib hash was perfectly done and flavorful short rib topped with two eggs over easy accompanied by salad and toast. Scrambles are varied and tasty and side of hash browns is a must. So many great options on this menu.

Inspiration Roll

We saw the menu online and it had a dish with poached eggs over polenta with shaved fennel and parmigiana and we decided that we had to try that so we went there for brunch. That was a great choice and we were surprised to find a variety of bruschetta that were also great. Strawberry / ricotta and lox / tomato were our choices and good ones. Great neighborhood feel and a nice garden seating area in the back.

Excellent food in a great neighborhood atmosphere. We got there when they opened on a Friday night and by the time that we finished it was packed. Trout and spaghetti entrees were excellent and squash and marble potato sides were really unique and tasty. You’ll feel like a local here. Bonus is that you are a relatively short walk to the Barclays Center if you are going to a concert.
